As of September mobile web browsing in the UK has now reached 13.27% of all web usage. This is a higher take up than the US (11.01%) and almost twice the level in the rest of Europe (6.7%). We have become a highly mobile people!
The most common mobile screen size by far is 320 x 480px at 42.61%. This is the screen resolution on iPhone’s prior to version 4, as well as many mid range Android devices (e.g. the Samsung Galaxy Ace and HTC Wildfire S).
This month Android, which passed iOS earlier in the year worldwide, is the market leader in Europe too, but by just one hundredth of a percentage point..

but iOS is holding – even increasing slightly, its market share in the UK (43.93% iOS, 27.69% Android).
